Sixteen year old Kailey Sanders never even knew her parents. She grew up with her uncle and he never talks about them. In fact, he never says anything to her that's not an insult. She gets beaten every day, is never allowed to eat, and is rarely allowed to talk. She has no friends and she always grew up this way so she thought it was normal to be abused by men. But when a fire kills her uncle, she discovers that she has 5 older brothers that she never knew about. She is sent to live with them and doesn't know how to act. They treat her differently then her uncle did and she doesn't want them to know how bad she is so that they won't beat her like her uncle. Will they find out her secret or will she find out some of theirs?

I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me. The scream that bastard had let out earlier must have reached her... The moment our eyes met, she practically threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around me so tightly I could barely breathe.
