A classic Doctor Who fanfic, featuring the fourth Doctor.
Emma Meakin first meets the Doctor when she is eight years old after running away from her bullying classmates, she sees the TARDIS parked outside the village park on the roadside.The Doctor has seemingly chosen 1980s Earth on a whim, so he can have an ice cream.
Emma was supposed to have died in a road accident that day but by simply being in that time and place the Doctor and his TARDIS have saved this girl's life.
Though maybe fate has other ideas and the Doctor and Emma Meakin were always meant to have met as the two friends meet over the course of their lives and one time, it's almost the end of the world....
This is a story about a friendship between a Time Lord and a woman who because of the Doctor had the chance to grow up and live. For Emma Meakin this is miracle enough.
