People have been trying to escape the hands of the organisation as they have learnt about what they do to the reliths. The reliths go through various experiments in order to enhance their abilities. It usually ends with the reliths dying. Even if they made it through the experiments, they had to suffer with the beatings they received to make them tougher . When the government came to Liam's and Chloe's house to check for their abilities,they knew they had to escape. Together, Liam and Chloe made their escape and left their old life behind.

But shadows surround Taylor where she is at that time and if the discovery is found of why, it could place Taylor in more danger than anyone could ever anticipate. The danger is later avoided, but an org is sent to track Taylor when she is gone and it presents a new danger and challenge for her- the challenge of surviving.
