Neal and Peter discover a dark secret buried underneath Arkham that will set them on a new course. Fluff: Halloween. October 1975. Arkham Files story #3. Sequel to The Locked Room.

In Arkham Files, White Collar characters are fused into the world of the Cthulhu Mythos. No prior knowledge of either White Collar or Lovecraft is required. Although Lovecraft is a master of the horror genre, in Arkham Files the emphasis is on science fiction and fantasy with a generous sprinkling of romance.

First names are the same as in White Collar. Neal Caffrey is known as Neal Carter. Peter Burke is Peter Gilman. In addition to Neal and Peter, White Collar characters include Diana, Mozzie, Elizabeth, June, Sara, Jones, and Hughes. Neal and Sara are both a few years younger than their New York counterparts.

The series is a meta work with the stories referenced in the Caffrey Conversation series. It's not necessary to read the Caffrey Conversation stories beforehand, but for readers who do, there is an added dimension. More information about the meta aspect is on my blog, Penna Nomen & Silbrith Conversation.

Disclaimer: This story is for fun. I do not own White Collar or the world of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Caffrey Conversation

20 parts Complete

What if FBI agent Peter Burke recruited con artist Neal Caffrey instead of arresting him? Peter goes undercover to thwart a museum theft, with unexpected help from Neal. This is the first story in the Caffrey Conversation series written with Silbrith. Peter is a father figure to Neal, and he slowly begins to unravel the mysteries around the shadowy con artist when they both travel to Neal's hometown of St. Louis. Prequel AU for the White Collar TV Series. Set in late 2003. Thanks to Silbrith for being my beta reader and for designing the cover art!
