The sun and moon chased each other for eternity... but never got the pleasure of meeting.
--------
Samara Woods thinks of herself as the space in between.

Not quite the sun, but not quite dark enough to be the moon.

The brightness in her life is yet to be introduced, and the darkness is yet to take over.

Because of this, it seems to her that her life is an endless cycle, where the life tries to chase away the pain, and the pain attempts to get rid of the joy.

But every day, more and more of the sun is taken out of her life, or so it feels, the bright light that used to shine, a wide ray of happiness, now being drained out of her slowly, like a cloth, being stripped of the water it had once been soaked with.

The pain of her past increasing with every passing day, trying desperately to catch up with the gradual movement of the present, the struggle to keep herself on her feet begins to be excruciating.

And she hides it all behind a smile and a nod.

Then, after it all, she can't take it anymore. In moments like these, it's just black and white. You either live, or you don't.

Samara can't imagine not fulfilling the latter. Not with the one person who meant the most to her now gone.

But she's stubborn. Despite how hard she tries to prevent it, her pride gets in the way.

And she's so convinced she's already gone that she's not ready to be saved.
