In the summer of 1994, 19 year old pastor's son Aaron Wright had lived in his small religious town all his life. In such a town, there was no room for differences. And so, he fit in to survive, with any nonconformity pushed deep down, any hint of his queerness hidden under lock and key.
When a new family moves in right next door, he meets 18 year old Felix Gray, a confident, outspoken, and very proudly queer person. For reasons unknown, they took a liking to Aaron and stuck by his side, resulting in a journey neither of them expected to have together.

"Leo pinned me against the wall with his hips; his hands gently gripping my wrists, keeping my arms above my head against the cool brick behind me. His beautiful, hazy blue eyes -that had turned straight quicksilver, again- were filled with such an intense, carnal desire I couldn't even look into them, so I looked over his shoulder. I saw a small group of kids from the group standing out by their cars who would easily be able to see what we were doing...or at least what Leo was doing to me. At that moment, my mind started wandering to all the things that I could be doing to him right now...but I stopped that train of thought, immediately, as it started heading to all the wrong places... All the dirty places... All of those places involving a very hard part of my body... I glanced back at Leo; his gaze was still as intense as it was before (unfortunately). He smirked at me and said confidently, "You can't ignore me forever, Ethan. You're eventually gonna fall for my charms..." Ethan Carter was focused on 2 things. 1. School (obviously) and 2. Getting over ex (it's proving to be, harder than he thought), but now he has to add dying to that list, and suddenly having feelings for a boy (which has happened once before, but Ethan tries to forget it). Nathan Eriksson, a closeted bisexual with overbearing internalized homophobia slowly falls for the outspoken gay man on campus, Graham Eide after running into him, quite literally in the Hall 28 stairwell, an awkward accident resulted in them interacting face-to-face for the first time in over a year, noticing each other nonstop around campus and outside afterward as if the universe was somehow bringing them together as friends- maybe more. A year prior, during Graham's first year of college, word got out that he was gay, and it quickly spread around campus due to Megan Fujikawa-Katz, a girl with a popular campus gossip blog, getting a hold of the information, and her best friend, Nathan Eriksson, twisting the knife further by encouraging and participating in verbally harassing Graham relentlessly. Sure, never getting physical, but not in a hurry to stop anyone from hurting Graham. But after a while, he slowly forgot about Graham, of course, he was in the back of his head, not for any weird reason, but how anyone would think about someone they "Disliked." But to his surprise, after an entire year had passed since then, Nathan on his way to work on an art project outside during a crisp fall day, trips and stumbles over someone sitting on the dormitory stairs, thudding down the rest of the cement steps down to the bottom, his eyes blurred before finally focusing on the person standing over him, watching their long brown hair hanging in front of their face as they bent down to see if he was okay. An annoyed scowl slowly emerged on Nathan's face after realizing who it was.

It is there that Hezekiah not only views a timeline where he doesn't exist but also meets other teenagers and young adults like him, reunites with a crush from his old life (they being close friends back then), encounters with a sly femme fatale with wicked intentions, and learns about his true origin by both God and Lucifer (the deities being brothers themselves). Meanwhile in the land of the living, word of his death would trigger a butterfly effect that would unleash scandals, change lives, and have one of Hezekiah's younger twin brothers expose the family secrets before the family would completely come to ruin. Follow this story alongside Hezekiah Chamblee as he undergoes dynamic paradigm shifts about himself while learning to finally use his voice as his family's forbidden desires would bring them to their downfall.
