In the original canon timeline in time with the anime, Shizu, the students, and many unknowns were summoned, Rimuru was reincarnated.

Just as it so happens, within this world a certain being with the power and abilities of an unknown world is brought into this anime world, and for better or worse, bringing whatever they have chosen with them.
