Daughter Of Lórien || Book 1||
Celebríel is the first-born daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrían, though her parentage is not easily recognized. Unlike her other siblings, she does not carry the features of her father. Rather, she bears a striking resemblance to her grandmother, the Lady Galadriel, with deep golden hair and a tall, slender figure; though her silver-ringed evergreen eyes belong to her alone. On her first visit to Mirkwood with her brothers Elladan and Elrohir, she is both enraptured and mystified by the strangely different Woodland Realm, particularly with a certain ill-tempered prince. Her distaste for him proves to be mutual, but something else simmers beneath the surface. Days turn into weeks, and Celebríel and Legolas must work together as challenges arise from both Mirkwood and Rivendell. But as she and the prince grow closer, Celebríel begins to question whether it is truly fate that ties the thread between them. The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there. Hadrian shook his head slowly. "No," he lied. He wasn't sure why he withheld the truth, but something told him to keep his past life a secret for now. "I just... woke up here." Elrond and Glorfindel exchanged a glance, silent words passing between them. "You are unlike any child we have seen before," Elrond finally said. "Your presence is... different. But there is no darkness in you. That alone is enough for us to offer you sanctuary." Hadrian exhaled, some of the tension in his body easing. Safe. He had never truly been safe before. The idea felt foreign, but not unwelcome. It was then that he finally noticed his reflection in the polished silver mirror across the room. He inhaled sharply. An elfling stared back at him. His body was smaller, more delicate, yet not frail. His ears tapered into elegant points, peeking through his unruly dark hair, which cascaded down to his shoulders in soft waves. His eyes were still the same vivid green, but they held a strange, ethereal glow, as if infused with the very magic of this world. A child again. A proper child, not the underfed, scrappy boy who had spent his youth locked away in a cupboard. How she still looked majestic, despite the scars on her face and hands was questionable. Why the elleth was in Rohan and where she disappeared to from time to time was a mystery. I do not have any copy right claims regarding the original books or movies this fanfiction is based on and I do not make any money from this content. It is simply meant as entertainment for the fanbase of middleearth and Tolkien's work.
