Elio missed her.
He always saw her in the hallways. He saw how she walked with her hair down covering her pink cheeks and bright brown eyes. He saw the big hoodie that used to be his that she always wore. He never saw the chain that signified their past friendship. He wondered if it still brought the same feeling to her as it did him. He wondered if she still had the sweet scent of autumn with hints of cinnamon she always had lingering around her. His angel.
Aster missed him.
She always looks away from him in the hallways. She saw how he walked with his chin held high and people always around him, his bright hazel eyes always finding hers. She saw how he always wore the bracelet that had her name on it, along with many other bracelets he wore. She saw the worn out chain that he wore, signifying their friendship in the past. She still wore it hidden under her clothes. She wondered if the chain still brought the same feeling to him as it did to her. She wondered if he still had the smell of old books and brown sugar that was always lingering around him. Her darling angel.
