The derelict, English city of Dillingter holds a secret. Jaxine Parker has the perfect life working as a painter  and living with her boyfriend Pete Nold. However, when she finds her birth certificate, things are not quite as they seem in the Parker family. Her father's funeral leaves Jaxine with some startling questions about her past, as she sets off to the snooty Dillingter to find some answers. She is intrigued by the shady physiatrist, Collin Johnson.  Jaxine slowly finds herself drawn into a web of manipulation and perhaps even murder.
