losing dogs - dream smp

niki was never one to give up on the defeated victims of history, always pouring all her faith and trust into those losing dogs so blindly and naively, building them up from the inside out to the best of her abilities, but the price she pays to always stay on the side of false hope and failure might eventually end up taking her down with them one day. and yet, regardless of the end, she'd probably bet on them again.

a niki nihachu centric one-shot featuring her pov of doomsday, heavily based upon mitski's 'i bet on losing dogs' chorus lyrics, as well as inspiration from 'last words of a shooting star' which is featured in the videos tab.

note: heavily references the canon relationship ( with free interpretation of whether it be platonic or romantic ) between the c!wilbur and c!niki in BOTH the dream smp and origin smp, and not their content-creator counterparts. please keep an open mind and separate the content creator with the characters they've developed and created!

note: the origin smp and the dream smp are not canonically connected, but i couldn't help but think of how heartbreaking it is that dsmp!niki is living the complete opposite of origin!niki.
