Basil St. James is a junior in high school when the Statue of Liberty mysteriously disappears one fateful September night. All he knows is school, swimming, and trying to figure out what college he wants to go to. So of course, he doesn't really dwell on the missing statue.
That all changes when the Vidal siblings transfer to his high school on Bancroft Island.
Rumors swirl around them, accusing them of stealing the Statue of Liberty, but is that really true?
To everyone else, their father is the highly private billionaire, Achilles Vidal, and their mother a French model. But to Aristotle, Caspian, and Delia, their parents have entirely different secret lives.
Why do the Vidal siblings think that they have the means to bring back the statue? If they really didn't steal it, that is.
Why do they move to Bancroft Island?
All Basil St. James knows is that his junior year just got a hell of a lot more interesting.
