100 years ago Vampires and werewolves attacked and created a system to survive and continue their species even though they can't die. every 4 years a girl between the age of 16 and 21 is selected to bare either the vampire or werewolf princes child, get turned then killed unless they become a mate of one of the vampires or werewolves. My name is Alexia Cassidy and this year I am 16, old enough to be selected, and I won't go down without a fight. I may only be a 5'7 brunet with golden eyes and ridiculously long hair but that doesn't mean my food deprived body can't fight for what I want! I should be dead already! I've killed 40 of the beasts that took over before and I am not going to become one, never!!!!! I will fight until I have no choices left... but that will only be after death! Best it's ever been: #158 in Vampire

❝He tried to kill you...but I'm the monster?❞ ❝You're not going to win...if you keep standing there.❞ 🗡️💖FINISHED BOOK 1 💖🗡️ SUMMARY TEASER One would think a princess has it easy, or extremely hard. Vaylene, on the rarer hand, has nothing at all. In her world, staying inside of the walls is key to protection. Regular citizens rarely, hardly leave and travel into the dark woods. Vaylene realizes with a fright that she never knew she was so afraid of the night until she looked at those same forests with the moon held high. When she's offered a piece to savor with an nasty, monstrous aftertaste, why does she feel the blood rushing through her veins? What if she realizes too late life wasn't a book? What if she's addicted to them and she can't tell? What happens when she ventures outside of the walls that have been created to protect her, her sister in tow, in search of a reason? Pulled into a world of monsters schemes, adventures, Chain-Toppers and war while working under the only thing remotely close to a demon, she has no hope other than to save her sister. How much can she get away with? And how much will she lose? When the evil isn't as simple as she thought and the world isn't following a specific plot, how can she encourage repair? Is the past really so simple and plain as it's been told? If not, how will everyone move forward from the haunting past of MoonCaster looming over every shoulder? Could anyone really forget the damage done by merciless teeth? The action in this story progresses as the plot does! This first book is highly focused on adventuring. So please be patient 🥺🥺 Thank you for reading and taking the time to explore my world!
