A young man by the name of Aleksy Boguchwal has taken over Biblioteka Poznańska or Poznan Library from his father. In the wake of the German invasion of Poland, his brother Artur Boguchwal has been called to arms and goes to the Eastern Upper Silesia at the German border while Aleksy stays home. A Missing Brother, A Marching Death Machine, And A Giant Library Will Aleksy be able to survive? Any and all names that appear in the book that has any resemblance to real-life counterparts are purely coincidental. All the ideas and plot belongs to the author.
