The worst was over. They survived The Maze, The Scorch, and even escaped WICKED with the help of Chancellor Paige. What they had to do to get here was all they could remember. And all of these memories keep haunting Thomas. Especially the ones about his friend Newt.
Thomas still hasn't told Minho about Newt yet. Only Brenda knows. And with her pestering him to tell Minho, Thomas finally caves. With him about to tell Minho, the reappearance of Chancellor Paige and WICKED has broken their safe society apart.
