The Orville and Wilbur Wright flew under power in 1903.  The first flight travelled only 120 feet but Wilbur flew 24.5 miles in 38 minutes in August 1904. 

More powerful aircraft engines were developed during WW-1 but airframes were too fragile for aerial fighting. 

H.Focke's transverse twin-rotor helicopter, broke all helicopter world records in 1937.

After WW-1, designers used duralumin airframes and smaller, monoplane wings for fighter aircraft like the Supermarine Spitfire.
At Midway, in 1942, American dive-bombers sank three of the four Japanese aircraft carriers.

In 2021, with battery powered, contra-rotating propellers spinning at 2500 rpm, NASA's Dragonfly helicopter lifted off from the surface of Mars. It weighed only 2 pound.

He shook his head as he exhaled out trying to calm down. "But I would have never hated you. I can't hate you. It bothers me that I haven't been able to hate you for walking out on me... and then you have to hide with all the pain... I just wished you told me," he told her and took a step closer. She had looked up at him and her heart shattered even more. The whole group was there watching there fight but didn't even have words for any of it. A squad of 101st Airborne, bound for Japan after VE Day, are suddenly and mysteriously wrecked in Pyrrhia, a land of dragons and adventure. Do they have what it takes to survive and get home? J.Maxwell predicted electro-magnetic radiation in 1855 and Einstein formulated special relativity; mass could be converted into energy. In 1905, E.Rutherford found radon gas emitted helium nuclei.
