Melanie Orenburg knew the Mechanic before he became the Mechanic, they met like every other couple, happened upon each other before slowly falling in love and getting married. After her memory is wiped, Melanie is saved by Jeff Tracy and brought to Tracy Island as she was extremely malnourished even pregnant and because Brains knows her by reputation. They nurse her back to health and months later, Melanie gives birth to the very healthy Tracie Orenburg. Years later, Jeff vanished and the Hood returns bringing back the anger Melanie had for the Hood being responsible for her not remembering herself or the one she loves. Upon capturing the Hood, he refuses to give any information regarding Melanie's memory. That's where the story, truly begins.

The boys where to young to remember her and strangely all of the photos of her dissapeared when she suddenly dissapeared. With each day passing with no sign of them I'm starting to lose hope.
