Who would've thought that finding a funny golden dragon would be so hard? Not Sky. For months he, Wren, Leaf, and Ivy have wandered Pyrrhia, trying to find the dragon they'd given the SandWing treasure to. Sky has shared Ivy's hope that dragons and humans can coexist someday, without eating or stabbing each other.
But the search becomes sidetracked when he and Wren find a dragon school in the mountains. When his path crosses with a strange mountain dragon, and Wren goes missing, he will uncover truths he didn't even know to search for.

Magisalla was saved from it's close fall, and in turn the Kingdoms of Pyrrhia and the CloudWing Kingdom were saved from being taken over by Permafrost's twisted and demented plans of world domination. Now, all that is left is to rebuild. The first event to bring hope to the CloudWings was the hatching of two royal eggs; the first two to have survived after Princess Supercell and Prince Comet. One of them hatched as a rare-born. One seen every once in a while in the kingdom. Nothing much else is special about Fog the Cloudborn CloudWing . But threats are still looming over the Cloud Kingdom. Criminals roam the kingdom after being set free by the Dark Revolt. One of which is an old enemy of the royal family who plans to return with revenge at the forefront of their mind. And when Fog catches wind of this enemy's plan to return, it's up to him to convince his family to prepare. That is, if he's even up to the task. What happens when the only dragon who can be the hero... isn't interested in the role at all? The Wings of Fire series belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined...
