A New England Aster named Aster has watched many people go by the field. Some are nice but some are mean. One day while Aster and Lacy (Queen Anne's Lace flower) were soaking up the Sun's rays a couple came up and picks Lacy. Ever since that day, Aster has disliked people even more. A Gardener comes by and digs up Aster. Aster is taken back to the Gardener's house and is planted a garden. Aster sees that the flowers planted in the garden happy, Aster starts thinking that the Gardener actually likes to take care of flowers.

"Go ahead," I said, backing up against the pink wall of the shop. "Do something other than glare at me." I waited. One, two, three seconds... and nothing. I raised my chin at him.
