In the distant future, the Coliseum has once again became the premier place for entertainment. As the United European Nations closes its borders to regulate itself following a string of rebellions and riots, the Coliseum Network has become the premier means of entertainment for a continent still recovering from the horrors of war, and for the world at large.
Colosseo follows one fighter, known only as "The Wolfhound", on his merciless ascent to the top of Gladiatorial Combat. Imprisoned for his part in leading bloody, brutal raids into English territory, The Wolfhound is a man fighting not for survival or glory, but for the chance to confront the man who sold out his guerrilla warband to the British Army. Trained by his lanista, Marcus Aureus, The Wolfhound is cutting a bloody swath through the gladiatorial arenas of various European countries with two aims: To reach Rome and to enact revenge on the very man who sold him out in the first place.
On his way to Rome, the Wolfhound will fight many formidable fighters, those seeking glory and freedom, those who raped, murdered and pillaged, and those who have no choice but to fight. He will also face his own mortality, his own choices and his own grappling with the choice between a life of eternal fighting or freedom.
