In which nineteen year old college freshman struggles to recover from an eating disorder she's tried hiding from her loved ones for three years. Eden Michelson is a perfectionist, some may say, even a control freak. She feels the need to have her life go exactly the right way, except her life doesn't ever go as planned. The one thing she knows she will always have control over us her food intake. So she has taken advantage of that. Three years since she first began restricting, this simple way of gaining control takes over her life and is well on its way of turning deadly. Before more tragedy strikes, Eden is admitted into a hospital to recover. TW: This story contains themes of eating disorders that may be triggering to some. Background: I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Reagan. My parents picked our names last minute because they didn't really care about what they were going to name us. My family lives in a huge house in Texas. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a lawyer so our family is pretty much rich. My parents rarely pay attention to any of us because they never wanted us. They give us money every month so that we won't have to bother them when we need money for something. I could probably be happy about that if my life was actually good and not a living hell. My brother is 23 years old so he doesn't live with us anymore. He's really smart and he's been at Yale since he was 19. He's majoring in music. My little sister is 15 years old and she's super friendly. She's also really smart, but she doesn't act like it because she doesn't want to be judged. She's one of the most popular girls at our school and she loves to be center of attention. That's how it all starts.
