It is devastating enough when Maddie gets the news that her sister Callie has been in a car accident and is in a persistent vegetative state, but her parents bringing Callie home and installing her in the living room spins Maddie out of control.
Always overshadowed by perfect Callie, Maddie certainly can’t compete now. Her coping mechanism--drinking, drugs and sex with Shane, a hot guy who makes her forget, may destroy her. But through her haze will she see Cam, the boy who has lived next door and been an almost-brother to her throwing her the lifeline and will she realize there is far more to her than being “Callie’s Sister?”
