When high school student and drug addict Kat meets Jake, a charming new student on the first day of their senior year, they instantly begin to feel attracted to each other, but will he be able to help her or will he fall into the darkness with her?

Kat Hamilton is just like every other teenagers-except for the fact that she is struggling with a drug addiction. When she isn't skipping half of her last year of high school getting high and drunk with people that normal teenagers would consider to be a 'bad reputation', she tries to get into rehab, but seems to relapse again and again, a never ending story. When she isn't partying, she works at a local dinner to make ends meet-and stealing alcohol from the bar and pay her dealer. She may have only two actual good friends, but day after day, she starts losing hope to be truly happy, to get a bright future and have a good family with her parents that are never here for her when she needs them.

But, at her darkest time when Kat thought that she was a lost hope, she meets Jake Whealer, this mysterious and handsome man who just joined her high school. They will get to know each other better, and Kat will realize that Jake might be the key to open a hidden door to a new life and perhaps even love... But demons will resurface and prove to Kat that change doesn't come overnight, but step by step, and she'll learn this the hard way.
