Was it typical that you'd find a large estate in the middle of nowhere? Miss Brandeis manor was one that you could find in the middle of nowhere if you knew where to look and were meant to be there. Long, lush green fields of grass ran on the sides of a thin dirt road for miles and miles. Long ago, this would have been all you would see. Now, that wasn't just it; there was more...

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.

In the small, isolated town of Briar Hollow, strange occurrences have begun to unsettle the once peaceful community. People are vanishing without a trace, and those who remain speak of eerie figures lurking in the dark, silent as shadows. The townsfolk are gripped by fear, unwilling to venture out after sunset. At the heart of the mystery is the abandoned Hawthorn Manor, a decaying mansion that has stood untouched on the outskirts of town for decades. Rumors swirl about its dark past, involving a family that mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Now, whispers of a curse draw curious outsiders and thrill-seekers, but none return the same-or at all. When 17-year-old Emily Weaver's best friend goes missing after daring to explore the manor, Emily is determined to uncover the truth. Armed with a mix of skepticism and desperation, she gathers a group of unlikely allies-each with their own reasons for seeking answers. Together, they delve into the chilling history of Hawthorn Manor, uncovering secrets buried deep within the town's history. As they piece together the puzzle, they discover that the manor is not just haunted by spirits of the past, but by an ancient, malevolent force that thrives on fear and darkness. The closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous their journey becomes, as the shadows seem to come alive, watching their every move. In a race against time, Emily and her friends must confront the source of the evil before it consumes them all, forcing them to face their deepest fears and uncover the long-buried secrets that could either save the town-or doom it forever.

This book is now available at Barnes & Noble and nook. This is now only a sneak peak of the book. Trina is a writer, one of her books finally made the best sellers list, so why can't she seem to write another one just as good. She's spent every dime she had, thinking that there would be more to come but even books on the best sellers list stop selling over time. What she needs is another novel, what she's stuck with is writers block. Seeing no other option, she's forced to move back in with her parents. Of course, she could do worse, I mean come on they live on a beach. It's absolutely beautiful with its quaint cottages and sandy beaches that stretch for miles. Trina left this small Island for the big city life long ago after something tragic happened. She has kept this secret for years and intends to die with this secret, until she gets drunk one night and confides in an old friend, Sebastian. Sebastian is sexy, hot and successful, he's a doctor, she could do worse right? And then, there's Alex who she was in love with ten years ago when she ran from the island, does she still love him, or should she leave the past in the past and find happiness with Sebastian. Does she even see Sabastian as more than just a friend? Alex is an ex-Marine turned Sheriff of the island. He's seen more than one man should in their lifetime and is a little broken from the experience. Add that to the fact that Trina broke his heart ten years ago and you get an angry man with a chip on his shoulder. Does his cold exterior match what he's really feeling inside, or has he never quite gotten over Trina? Only he knows the truth as he keeps her at arm's length. Hailey Fell didn't fit in at Pinemarsh High, but if she'd known what was about to happen, she would've taken getting smoothies dumped on her head any day... Hailey didn't want to fit in anyway. The idea of perfect for Pinemarsh was not something she wanted to associate herself with. She had her dad and best friend Nolan, and she liked spending most of her time in the forest where she lived with her dad. But life wasn't easy when the two most popular people in High school had it out for you. She had been counting the days until graduation since kindergarten and now that she started her Senior year, her freedom was finally in sight. Then something strange started happening to her. Something, or someone, showed up in the forest. The shadow followed her around but never came close enough for her to see who, or what, it was. But this was only the start. Hailey was about to find out that she played a critical role in a world that she didn't know existed. Whether she liked that role or not, she had no choice but to take it. Even if she didn't know what it was going to cost her.
