Friday the 13th: Shadows of the Lake brings terror back to Crystal Lake, years after the disappearance of Jason Voorhees. Lucas and Gaby, two young people curious about urban legends, decide to camp in the area to investigate the stories of murders and mysteries surrounding the lake, making a documentary about Jason's legacy.
However, as they venture deeper into the woods and the lake, they awaken something far older and more malevolent than they imagined - a supernatural force that had been lying dormant, waiting for the right moment to return. As they try to escape, they are stalked by a deadly presence that seems to be connected to Crystal Lake's dark past.
As their search for answers turns into a fight for survival, Lucas and Gaby realize that there's more involved than just legends. Something - or someone - is coming back to finish what Jason started, and what seemed like a simple investigation soon becomes a night of nightmares.
