Imagine this thick fog rolling down your city, the white wall reached up so high as it devoured the tallest skyscrapers in the urban jungle. They instantly became shadows, tall and obscured by the dense mist as it slowly fades away, completely hidden by the fog. You hear screams in the distance as the white wall continues to pour into the city, its slow and graceful movements looked like it was a giant wave of lava slowly making its way towards you. With those screams, you hear the guttural sounds of beasts, far away and distant. Something you've never heard before, a sound so new to your ears. But you heard it clear enough to know that it's not from your world. And that it's not friendly. You suddenly feel this spike in fear, your heart suddenly hammering in your chest, preparing for something you don't even know yourself. You went back to your house, locked all the doors, sealed all the windows, released every single curtain to block any sight from the glass panes. That day, you somehow knew. Like a voice, quiet but clear. A thought deep in your subconscious. That everything is going to be different from now on. Nothing will ever stay the same.
