Melanie and Cameron decide to spend their day at the Metropolitan museum. On their way, they meet their uncle Chris, who kindly offers to take them to the museum by his car, but he turned out to be a fake uncle, to tried to take them to a completely different place!
The kids manage to escape and stumble into the museum, where they meet Imhotep, an Egyptian cat who says he is from the past and needs help to get home to his own time. Melanie and Cameron agree to help-even if that means that they time travel to different times!
Imhotep gives Cameron and Melanie each an ankh. This ankh will transport them to different times and places and change their outfit. Imhotep changes too! In mastodon times, for example, Imhotep becomes a saber tooth tiger.
Fake uncle is actually a time traveler from the past, he's really their great-great grandpa, Horatio, and wants to use the ankhs to stop the time rift. Imhotep wants to get home. The kids figure out the time rift and close it and send everyone home. But they lose the anchors and Imhotep forever.

Hi everyone! This is a historical fiction, adventure, fun time-travelling story!

Get out your popcorn, tourists beware, here comes a paranormal adventure with a historical twist, set in Egypt--and Britain. From Chapter 29 'Darkness': 'Did I just try to dive into that goo to get at a dead guy?' Trueth asked. Define dead,' Metjen said with a half-smile. He muttered something and touched Trueth on the forehead. The rest of her giddiness faded away--only to return as Metjen crushed her in one of his bearhugs. 'For a moment I thought we would lose you. Don't do that again.' Trueth's cheeks burned. That could only be the caffeine. The stuff had never agreed with her. 'It wasn't my idea, there was a voice in my head!' *** Trueth hates being the last paranormal creature left on Earth. She needn't worry: On a trip to Egypt she runs into Metjen Al-Nour, magical member in the last temple of the sun god Ra. With sparks flying between them--not only those of the magical variety--they solve a 5000-year-old riddle where clues are literally buried in tombs, historical sites--as well as in the family safe. But their journey is far from over - where other stories end, this one really takes off... . The second novel in the trilogy, 'Cursed Times - Only Yesterday!', is completed, and 'In My Attic' - a spin-off to the world of Cursed Times is available with weekly updates. === Copyright information, given the recent acts of content piracy: All copyrights of the texts are mine exclusively. The tree was a little damp as I was leaning on it, yet, I didn't mind. I continued reading my book as small snowflakes fell from the sky, I slowly brushed them away, as they got in my way. I had seen Nana hiding behind one of the trees, but I pretended that I hadn't seen her. Nana was wearing her usual winter outfit, the denim brings out her eyes and hair, although I don't think she knows this. She'd placed on the light hoodie on top of that, then her navy fluffy coat. Nana pounced onto me, hugging me by the waist. I smiled, and she gave me an immature, cheeky grin, like a three-year-old, "You're late." I answered, closing the book. I shrugged, "So, what was it you needed to tell me? In this weather." I asked her, pointing up at the dark, prominent clouds, covering the natural blue sky. Nana took a deep breath, standing upright in front of me, "Well, you know how the holidays are coming up..." she began. ⎡ UPDATED COVER ➜ OCTOBER 15TH, 2022 ⎦ Story Began: 02/08/2021 Finished: 26/2/2022 Editing Completed: 3/4/2022 (ALTERNATE UNIVERSE)
