She was the epitome of perfect, and he ruined her.

The voices of his friends and family were constantly belittling him and blaming him for their deaths. One voice stood out in particular. It was the voice of the women who had stolen, cared for and broken his heart.

She always despised the mask, she said it was dishonest of him to wear it. He didn't listen to her. He never did, not unless he needed something. And now? Well now he regrets it all.

He couldn't sleep properly, he often found himself crying for absolutely no reason or over the simplest things. Without his friends he felt like he was stuck in the middle of a stormy ocean with no hope of rescue. He was drowning and he couldn't swim. He couldn't see his beacons of hope in the far distance of the early morning light.
