Madeline Hemmings, more affectionately known as Della, isn't a remarkable girl. At least, not on paper. A 16-year-old aspiring singer. A kind sister. And yet, anyone who has met her would tell you that there was something about her. She was a ray of sunshine, with a little eccentricity. When you were around her, you couldn't help but be in a good mood.
Well, everyone except Greyson Keller, Addison Academy's designated 'Bad Boy' would say that.
After an interesting and albeit embarrassing meeting where Greyson first notices Della, it seems that there are constantly circumstances in which they meet again. Stuck in a perpetually grumpy state, Greyson seemed to Della like he desperately needed something sweet to counter all that bitterness. Little did she know that she was that sweetness.
Slowly but surely, they find themselves falling for each other. But Madeline and Greyson both have pasts that are catching up with them. And it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

"Oh fuck!" I exclaimed. My eyes widened. "I mean, shit!" I clapped my hand over my mouth. "Godammit! You're rubbing off on me, Gracie!" Greyson looked at me in surprise, before he threw his head back and laughed.
I was surprised with myself too. I had never cursed before. Oh my god, I was such a hypocrite for telling all those people not to-wait. Laughed?
I watched in awe and astonishment as the sound of his laughter filled the air. It was one of the most magnificent sounds I had ever heard. His eyes were bright and his smile was genuine. He looked truly and sincerely happy. I had never seen him look like that before. Slowly, he noticed my staring. His laughter trailed off, but the smile stayed on his face.
He was beautiful. And it was wonderful.
