A fresh start to school seemed to be exactly what was needed after the supernatural crisis's and murder mysteries that sophomore year brought, Sydney Stilinski was glad to get a break from the world she fell into and return to normal. Summer was ending and it meant returning for a new year of school with the simple hope that her junior year of high school would be simpler compared to the last.

In Beacon Hills, simple and normal didn't seem to exist, at least not anymore. Erica and Boyd were missing. Derek Hale's pack had a rivalry with some new Alphas in town with a strange interest in Scott. And on top of the new werewolves in town, a new killer submerged and was making their way through bodies fast, leaving the mystery of what was happening up to teenagers, once again.

With the fate of the town on their shoulders, Sydney found it was up to her friends to save the day again. The year proved to be a long one, especially as they found their only option to stop one threat would only open the door on the supernatural, leaving them to realize they had only gotten a peak at what was out there. The idea of a simple year faded as supernatural became the only normal thing in Sydney's life in the small town of Beacon Hills.
