louis has been ill for as long as he has been able to speak, hospitals are what he calls his "second home", and he's said his lungs will not let him live past the age of 22. he knows it's not worth the waste of time of trying to find someone just so he can get attached and then leave them suffering. it's just too painful to even think about. but he wasn't planning on that special someone finding /him/, let alone under the circumstances in which it happened.
