"What sort of trouble have you gotten yourself into this time darling?" The deep voice slices through the thick silence, hastily reaching my ears. He draws near me, emerald green eyes locked on mine. He steps slowly over the lifeless bodies that cover the floor.

My heart starts to palpitate faster in my chest. Each step he takes seems to be drawn out more and more as he approaches almost, as if he wants to overwhelm me with anticipation.

"What more do you want from me?" I stutter, "I've done everything you've asked."

After a series of unfortunate events Alexis finds herself with the boys running from something. Or maybe chasing something. Alexis finds herself questioning what's right and what's wrong and wondering if she's maybe making messy situation even more messy.
