In absinthe-soaked and morphine-hazed end-of-the-century Paris, a lovelorn opium lord pursues a romantic obsession with his dead lover’s daughter, Vesper de Villeneuve, but brooding Scotsman, Heathe Stoker, develops a vested interest in keeping her safe.

A throwback to when fairytales were more grim and less Brother Grimm, NOCTURNE blends the dark, sensual themes of Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber with the readability and whimsy of Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus.
