There's Something Broken Within Me...

Why me?
Why her?
WHY him?
Why write poetry? Why write at all?
For far too long, have I deprived myself of singing,
When others did not even deserve to hear my voice...
I needed an outlet to help release the hurricane of emotions that brew within me.
Pent-up anger and self-hate. Unspoken confessions of love. Secret negative affirmations of worthlessness. Lack of self-esteem.

Everything.

You may not hear me speak
But
You will feel the depth of my words.
Its time we stop feeling,
and start healing...
