Akari Mizuri is a girl who was born in Musutafu, Japan, raised by a lovely family. She lived a normal life, with normal dreams of becoming a hero, up until her middle school years. Her father caught an awful sickness, forcing him to stay home and forcing her mother to work unbelievably long shifts to make ends meet and pay the bills. All the while, Akari tries to find her way through life, devastated by the fact that she has to keep her childhood fantasies to herself.
After deciding that her dreams will never be more than just that due to the circumstances she finds herself in, her life changes entirely because of one boy in her classroom.
But after the many trials she faces after meeting him, she sometimes wonders... was the change for good?
