"Hello?"

"Hello indeed Miss Clorex." There is a sound like steps and suddenly there is a dim glow in the room but you still can't see anything. It's a hopeless light, a light that is incapable to taking out the darkness. Then a shadow appears in the figure of a man, and he's much closer than I thought.

His violet eyes glow in the dark. They glint in an unpleasant way. He takes step toward me. His hot breath warms my face and I consider my options. My step father taught me to fight, Jack taught me to find weakness, my mother taught me how to think under pressure. I should be able to handle this. I consider thrusting my palm up and breaking his nose. The pain should stagger him and it would give me time to run away and find Jack with the van. If there is a way out of this prison.

He grabs my wrists and pins them to my sides. "You know who you are, correct Miss Maria Clorex?" He breathes on my face. He smells of something bitter and definitely not something you eat...he smells of blood. I try to wiggle free. His hands are strong and are like a inescapable vise. Binding my hands together. I can feel my pulse from the inside of my other hand. My pulse makes the mark on my hand even more visible to me. "You would have never reached them in time anyway. You are weak. They will die together. " I know I haven't been injured recently but his words cut into me like a hot knife. I hold back tears in my throat that are making it really hard to breathe.

"Get away from me." I try to pry him off.

"You know who you are." He stated his hot breath on my face. "Say it. Right now. Out loud." he commanded. My throat clenched. The words formed on my lips but they wouldn't come out. He squeezed my forearm making me wince from an old bullet wound.
