Since I've first seen her in my forest that first day I couldn't look away I couldn't stop thinking about her but I still wonder why I saved her I'm supposed to be hiding who I am but for some reason when it came to her I didn't care if she saw me or not. I sometimes wonder if she's my soul mate but I'm not going think about it cause soul mates don't exist not when your a half breed. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming.
