It has been almost a year since the events in Rule of Wolves, 3 since Six of Crows. Inej Ghafa has been sent by Queen Zoya of Ravka to send a message to Ketterdam's notorious Barrel King, Kaz Brekker. Inej hopes to not only deliver the call for help in a dangerous heist, but to also continue where she and Kaz had left off in their friendship and relationship.
