Nitya, Esme, and Jedi, along with other orphanage kids have happy lives until they learn they were only living because they were for food for devils. Luckily they're very smart children, but they still question, will that be enough for them not to be dinner or desserts. Will they escape to the outside world beyond the gate or forever live in pain.
