My breath quickens as the contraption I was forced into - who knows how long ago - moves. After what feels like an eternity, the space around me stilled, and I jerk forward, falling on my wrist painfully. Suddenly, a strip of light appears above me. As the light gets bigger, I blink and see unfamiliar faces observing me. The strong stench of exhaustion and sweat hit me. As I slowly get up, I see a boy apart from the crowd, watching me curiously. For some reason I feel drawn to him...
A Newtmas fanfic in a reality similar to the Maze Runner (don't come at us - my darling friend and I wrote this together) with minor Minho x Gally. Hope you enjoy reading, we've been writing and rewriting this for years and finally got the guts to post it!

Living in the Scorch has not been easy for (Y/n), but she manages to get by. With her father Jorge beginning to loose control of their compound, she's finding it difficult to stay. All she wants is to be free, to explore the Scorched world, but on one stormy night, she finds that some new people have survived in the Scorch and found their way to her home. It's been a while since newcomers had arrived, so this intrigues her. She then meets Thomas and his crew whom of which are trying to find the Right Arm just like her father. One boy in particular, a young sarcastic boy with great hair, catches her eye. Seeing the opportunity, (Y/n) decides to help them in exchange for being a part of their group. She has to get them through the Scorch safely to find the Right Arm, and she can't help but fall for that young sarcastic boy, but she isn't the only one with a small crush. A certain British blonde boy has fallen for their fearless leader, but with this love interest being conflicted, will Thomas return the feeling? There are challenges, people get taken, and with the flare becoming airborne, anything can happen. Will they make it to the Right Arm or will WICKED beat them to it? Or maybe, death will. (This is a Minho fanfic that is based primarily on the movies, though some aspects will be from the books.
