In this world, both mortals and mortals who possess magic exist. The ones who possess magic are called sorcerers. Their magic gives them special abilities ranging from arson to telekinesis powers. Many sorcerers' powers are not revealed until a certain age. When their powers surface, they are taken to the Elixir realm where they will hone their abilities. Although practicing magic can have a drastic effect on some sorcerers' psyche as the magic can consume them. This can cause severe memory loss, loss of basic functions, and insanity. This rare illness is known as Sunset Disease.

Dawn Kaido is a young sorcerer who discovers he has severe Sunset Disease. He can barely remember his past, only the face of a smiling boy who makes his heart warm. With only two months left before he completely loses himself, Dawn decides to travel back to the mortal realm to search for the boy. Except as the disease continues to consume him, he quickly begins to lose a hold of what's reality, what's fiction, and who he really is.
