In this Princess Diaries inspired romance, Princess Nora hopes to inherit the throne, but in order to do so, she must marry. After rejecting most of her options, Nora is left with Prince Augustus, who hopes marriage will bring allies to his country. The agreement is mutually beneficial. If only she could take things seriously and if only he could lighten up. And if only the mystery attacker would stop trying to break them up.

"What is this?" August asks, throwing the note on the desk where I'm sitting.

"Well, hello to you too." I answer innocently. I smirk at Gia. "That's my end of the bargain." I calmly state.

"What are you talking about? This is supposed to be a simple affair, not some musical!" He spits.

I glance down at the note and what I'd written. I thought it was pretty clear.

"It's ridiculous."

Smiling, I shake my head. I knew he would hate the idea, but boy am I enjoying this. "Either you propose to me the way I want or the deal's off."

He stews.

"Isn't your kingdom worth a little humiliation and giving up a bit of your dignity?
