The merchant took the black pearl and held it in his hand. "Aye, you got that right. But miss, this color right here ain't be seen in a regular place."

"Well, what do we have 'ere?" A hoarse voice stated above me, making my eyes glaze upward in the direction of the culprit, only to freeze at the icy, crystallized irises of the owner. There, above me, was the man I saved, looking insanely at me with crazed eyes and a mocking tone. His hair was stuck on his forehead and the smudged eyeliner created a trace of dark lining on his face, making him look hauntingly. The man gazed at my form in amazement and wonder before they captured mine again, sending an icy cold sensation coursing through my vein, making me shiver. He was frightening and breathtaking at the same time. "A mermaid, aye?" he questioned as his gaze trailed down the length of my body. Grabbing my arms with one hand, he caressed my face gently, his thumb grazing my parted lips before they went below my hair twirling a single piece. I struggled from underneath him when he let the hair graze my breast underneath my blackened hair. Grinning at me madly, my eyes narrowed distastefully as his hand touched my crimson scales, stroking the tail almost lovingly. "Is this how you repay your saviour, pirate?"

I've never believed in fairytales, superstitions or fears of fantasy worlds. It's the year 1871, and yet people still believe in such idiotic stories. My job as a stoker on this ship is just so I can get some money to live on, but when the ship goes down and I'm rescued in a submarine, I'm forced to help an ambitious Jenny Playfair, a woman obsessed with finding the lost city of Atlantis. She's crazy, of course, or at least I believe she is, until she shows me evidence that such a city just might exist. As we dive farther into the deep in a desperate attempt to find something, and someone, I come to wonder: If Atlantis is real, what are we to expect? Is there more to this than we know? And if the person with me being completely true about her intentions on finding this city? It's an adventure I didn't sign up for, but quickly find myself in. But the more I find and learn about the ocean around me, the more I realize fairytales just might be true after all. Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or any of the characters in it. This is my Stoker Five's version of Mystery at 4,000 Fathoms in the New Adventure section of the app.

There was something so inexplicable about this beautiful creature before him. The gills on his neck pulsated with the heaving of his chest. His very pink hair- pastel- trailed in the water around his face and when Changbin looked down- The most beautiful pink tail he had ever laid eyes on. Even In the darkness of the water, the scales glinted and shimmered with hues of pinks and even gold. So, so rare because mermaids and mermen had only ever adorned blue scales to blend with the habitat around them. And maybe Changbin really was hallucinating. Maybe this was just the grim reaper- a really ethereal grim reaper- dragging him down to hell instead of to the surface of the water. Before Changbin could open his mouth and ask 'am I going to die?' His lungs finally gave out on him as he breathed, and inhaled the salty sea around him. Or Changbin is saved by a beautiful merman- and years later, he can return the favor when he finds him injured and unconscious at port.

A young girl named Rose is one of the most popular girls in school. At least in the eyes of most of the boys on campus. However even though this is the case, she has never been able to find love. And because of her popularity with the boys, most girls at school have an extreme dislike for her. There was only ever one man who truly tried to understand her as a person. They never talked much, in fact he never really talked to anybody in general. But she had been smitten. She never took interest in the types of guys that pretended to be cool, or drank or partied. But for some odd reason this mysterious man, had a type of dignity to himself. A type of strength. The only thing, was that he was her college teacher. This led to and intensive desire to be with him. But she knew that she couldn't fall in love. She also had a secret that would put those closest to her in danger. She was a vampire. And since he was her teacher, he would get in major trouble if they had even begun a relationship together. But during one night, she came across an abandoned car shop. Rusty cars had been strewn about, and she made her way through the area, only for her to find a large, hideous beast, crouching over the carcass of something that was once living. Its mangled body was too destroyed to even tell what it was anymore. What was she to do in a situation like that. Or anybody for that matter.

You think you do, but you don't. It is a mistake." "No it's not." "I came for you, Andie." He grabbed her by the waist, pulled her in close and nudged his face into her neck. "Oh god, don't bite her," Davis pleaded. "Please don't bite her." "Davis you are tired, go relax. Go back to her apartment and sleep." "No Davis, stay here." He left at the vampire's last word. "Please listen to me," she begged.Holding her hands up against his chest. "Shh shh shh. do not fear me." He assured her, whispering softly in her ear. Making her weak in the knees. "But I am afraid this is.'' She stuttered. ''This was. You see there was an accident. I sprayed you with a love potion." "A love potion? How sweet." He began to nibble at her neck. She could not help liking the way he felt against her. But quickly reminded herself. HE IS A VAMPIRE! "No really, it is not sweet at all. It was an accident. I had it in my bag thinking it was mace, I wanted to mace you," she explained. "I suppose that's nicer then," he said to her. "No, that's not nice at all. But you grabbed me, and well, that's what you deserved." "I was trying to warn you to run, meant you no harm." "No. I suppose you didn't, but you got sprayed, and now you love me, it is not real love." The vampire struggled to not laugh. Silly mortal. He let her go on. © Copyright 2014 Aronel Loni.
