Campfire Cologne

As the smoke trails into the night sky, I turn off my phone and sigh, putting it in my pocket. Across from me was my childhood best friend Devin and his mom on a bench talking about school...specifically his bad grades. The bench swing I was on creeks to a stop as someone leaned against it. His bright blue eyes could be seen in the dark and his worn out black boots tapped against the ground slowly.

"This seat taken?"
