When presented with the choice of any world to be reincarnated into, what kind of adventure would you select?
Shawn Driggs grew up with the noblest aspirations and only wanted to live up to the stories told about his father, a famous firefighter who gave his life in the line of duty. Before Shawn can turn in his application to the local fire station, his life comes to an abrupt and tragic end.
The sting of death proves short, however, as Shawn is given the choice by a mysterious being to be transported to another world to begin a new life. After carefully considering all of his options, Shawn finds a world that has only had one hero ever sent to its surface. Unable to suppress his natural desire to protect those in need, Shawn selects this world as his destination despite the warnings of hardship that his choice will bring.
What awaits Shawn is a war-torn hellscape that holds no pity for his righteous intentions. Shawn's will and values will be tested as he is thrust into a century spanning conflict between humanity and demons that has ravaged the face of the planet.
