Venuspool has always been a loyal cat to MoonClan. She has just been made into a warrior, and the deputy (her father), Pineclaw, was her mentor. Her mother died giving birth to her. One day, Venuspool and Pineclaw go out hunting. Venuspool decides to go venture on her own to show she can catch her own prey, and to make her father proud. She comes back with prey and sees her father dead on the ground. Venuspool was so devastated. She was always cooped up in her den, not eating or doing hunting and border patrols. She refused Gatherings. Then one day, Venuspool wants to seek revenge. She secretly leaves camp and explores the forest, looking for the someone or something that killed her father. Once she completes her journey, she finds a devastating shock...

If she can't do it, then she'll never be able to see the face of good again. She'll be another apprentice gone wrong, and all she'll be remembered for is darkness. Sunpaw can't let that happen. Ambermoon then reveals the truth, and Fernpaw wished that she had never asked her mentor about it. But her dreams have been troubled and dark, and the same prophecy keeps repeating itself.
