Weirdmageddon was taken global after Bill found another way to undo the bubble. It's been 5 years and Dipper is 18 along with Mabel. They both have worked through the years and were able to Bill-proof a large cave just outside Gravity Falls turning it into a sanctuary for people and creatures, but Bill is still looking for them.
