Jade took for granted how intact her life was at the moment. Everything was going alright, she had plenty of friends, and she had a wonderful boyfriend who took good care of her. Her parents were loving, and she had amazing younger siblings who looked up to her. Her home and family had become a safe haven for Aurora. The younger, daintier woman had a difficult life, and Jade offered a loving environment to heal and prosper from. Their friendship had clicked easily, and they had been best friends since grade school. Here they were starting their senior year, unaware of the fate that lurked just a few hours ahead.
