Every day is a new fight. Struggle is all we really know anymore. The world was leading up to an inevitable global war with clashing ideals and ideologies. So instead of fighting it, the U.S. government made a virus to attack its enemies with. It would turn everyone above the age of 21 into mindless man eating savages. It would do this by attacking certain chemicals in the brain that haven't developed in most young people yet. Thus eliminating the country from contention. The U.S. would win when this virus, until it was betrayed by the leading scientist and got released across the globe instead.
