"Do you have any idea how damn frustrating you are?" He trapped me between him and the wall. Stubbornly, I looked squarely at him, "You say this like it's news to you." He pursed his lips, clenched his jaw, and stared at me with darkened eyes before he closed the gap between us. I stared at him squarely as I felt his body heat radiated off me, my lips parted and my breathing picked up a notch. He placed one hand on the wall and brought his lips an inch away from mine as the other hand trailed up my arms, "I am going to make you feel my frustration." I ran my finger along his jaw and dared him with my eyes, "I'm Mila," I grinned, "You can try but we both know you won't succeed." He ran his thumb over my bottom lip, "Don't take my love for you as weakness," he stated and captured my lips with a fiery kiss. The road to love for Mila and Mitchell wasn't easy, but they finally reached their destination after many bumps along the way. Blissfully in love, they set off on another journey together but instead of the Highway, they hit the high seas. However, love and life aren't always smooth sail and they learn that when they embark on their adult life after college. Mitchell is trying to prove to his father he is worthy of handling the grand Clarke Empire one day while Mila is determined to make her mark in the medical world. Two strong personalities have finally accepted they love each other but both are set in their ways and stubborn with unbreakable egos. Can their love weather storms in their path or will things like jealousy, insecurity, and family stand in their way to happily ever after?

"Can I date you?" His brows were very expressive and now the light of his green eyes shone when I showed a difficult expression; it was after all reflected in his eyes. "No" His body that was crouched to level against my small frame stood up; he was massively intimidating yet he always reminds me of the goofy joker we have in the back of our high school class. "It's fine, I'll ask you again" "Give up, I don't want to fall in love with a player like you, no offense" I bit my lower lip in contemplation, I didn't hate him nor dislike him. In particular, we get along well to the point that it still surprises me today. But I just don't want to get hurt. I can already see it in the future and I know I'm too negative but I just don't want to risk my heart for something I knew won't go well. 'But what if it did?' My heart whispered but I buried it down, not wanting to fall into my truest desire and his green playful eyes. "None taken" He gave me that familiar smirk of his which left me somewhat annoyed and when I was about to turn back, I stop in my tracks when I heard his words. "You know I'll always ask you for a date because I like you right? This is not a joke or a bet. I genuinely like you so if you finally have the decision to agree on a date with me then I'll show you that what you fear is not gonna happen" With that, I glared at him and rushed out of the door with my face flushed and my lips were spread widely a silly smile. *** This is a work of fiction, a story that I made in a whim when I was washing dishes and yes, I wanted the cliche womanizing male lead and awkward female lead so strap your belts for a story that will deviate from what you think the story is!
